How much does it cost to rent Paddlewheel Hall?
The association's most recent published contract listed 2025 rates of $1,600 for a full day on a high-season weekend (April to October) and $1,015 for a full day from November to March, plus admin, cleaning, insurance, a security deposit and a SOCAN music fee. Rates for 2026 and 2027 may differ, so confirm current pricing with the association.
How many people does Paddlewheel Hall hold?
About 150 guests for dinner and dancing. The association's rental contract caps events at 250 people under fire regulations. Confirm the number for your layout when you book.
Is there a kitchen?
Yes. The hall has a renovated kitchen with ranges, a stainless steel island and a commercial fridge, plus tables, chairs, a stage, a bar counter and a podium.
Can we serve alcohol?
Yes, with a BC Special Event Permit or a licensed caterer. At Paddlewheel Hall, drinks stay inside the hall and on the deck, and you need the association's liquor liability insurance.
Which Vernon venues hold the biggest weddings?
Prestige Vernon Lodge has the largest ballroom in the area, and the Coldstream Community Hall seats about 222 for a banquet. Many wineries and golf venues top out between 100 and 200 guests.
How far ahead should we book?
For summer Saturdays, 12 to 24 months is common. Coldstream Community Hall takes requests up to about two years out. Weekdays and November to March are much easier, and often cheaper.
